Sustainable feed phosphate

Together with the Swedish National Veterinary Institute (SVA) and Lantmännen, we have initiated two projects to demonstrate that calcium phosphates recovered from sewage sludge incineration ashes could be safely and effectively used in animal feed.

The phosphorus extracted from our Ash2Phos process is converted into a pure, non-crystalline calcium phosphate called RevoCaP. To evaluate the viability of RevoCap, we have initiated two collaborative projects.

In the first project, we demonstrated that our recycled feed phosphate has high digestibility in animals (pigs and chickens) and meets all quality requirements in feed legislation.

In a subsequent project, we conducted a risk assessment of the entire value chain concerning relevant pathogens, including prions, from sewage sludge to finished feed phosphate.

RevoCaP® - Recycled feed and fertiliser phosphate

The high-grade phosphorus (purity greater than 98%) extracted by EasyMining´s Ash2Phos process is converted into a pure, noncrystalline calcium phosphate called RevoCaP.

This can be used as slow-release fertiliser, animal feed phosphate or further processed into conventional fertilisers. Co-products are ferric chloride, aluminium chemicals and sand fraction.
