We are nominated for the Swedish Environmental Goal Award
Together with Ragn-Sells, EasyMining is nominated for the Swedish Environmental Goal Award 2021 (Miljömålspriset), in the category Courage and Pace.
EasyMining and Ragn-Sells Group, of which EasyMining is a part, are nominated for their contribution to the Swedish environmental goal "Non-toxic environment". This is due to our work to address the big and important issue of closing cycles by developing technology to detoxify and recover important substances from sewage sludge ash and other waste streams. With these technologies, important nutrients such as phosphorus, nitrogen and various salts can be purified and used again as a new raw material.
– We are very honored to be nominated in the category Courage and Pace. For us, the key to a sustainable society is to use the resources we already have in a good and responsible way. This requires that we as a company are driving towards a change and that we dare to challenge existing technology and existing policy instruments, says Linnéa Sellberg, business developer and owner representative at Ragn-Sells.
– The most important thing for us is that it is non-toxic nutrients that we circulate. Thanks to detoxification in the processes, we will not leave any debt to future generations - which is a prerequisite for a circular economy, says Anna Lundbom, Marketing Manager at EasyMining.
The Environmental Goal Award is an award instituted by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) to draw attention to and reward ambitious and successful environmental work that contributes to achieving Sweden's environmental goals. In the category Courage and Pace, a major or rapid change is rewarded, as well as the work that tests new ways of achieving environmental goals.
